Handpan: An Extended Introduction
This extended four-hour workshop is designed to give you more than just a glimpse - it's an unhurried, immersive space to explore and connect with these captivating instruments.
Building on the foundations of our popular two-hour introduction to handpan workshops, this extended introduction takes things further. You'll be introduced to the instrument and its unique voice, explore core playing techniques, and begin to find your own improvisational instincts. You'll have the opportunity to play a selection of beautiful high quality handpans made by respected UK makers, spanning a range of scales and metals, each with its own character and feel.
This workshop goes beyond just learning technique. The extra time creates space for something quieter - learning to use the handpan as a tool for mindful presence, slowing down, and genuine connection with the instrument, with sound, and with yourself. The day concludes with a live…
