About the event
Join us for a workshop exploring this beautiful and unique instrument. We will focus mainly on basic playing technique and improvisation. There will be opportunity to try several different scales of handpan made from different materials and by various UK makers, and advice on what to look for when purchasing a handpan.
Led by Lyndon Forster, an experienced percussionist and handpan player. Lyndon has been a percussionist for 25 years and has played handpan since 2015. He was involved in building them for 2 years with PanAmor Handpans in Exeter and has used these instruments and other percussion in a wide variety of educational and therapeutic settings, including schools, PRU’s and prisons.

We really look forward to seeing you at this Pankind Introduction to handpan workshop. All instruments will be supplied. There will also be refreshments. Please be aware that there is no allocated parking in Hope Close for Bridgetown Community Hall. There is on street parking, but please be considerate of the residents. We would also ask kindly that noise is kept to a minimum when leaving.
